The Ather 450X is powered with a 6kW PMSM motor, a new 2.9 kWh lithium-ion battery, and comes with 4 riding modes. In addition to Eco, Ride, and Sport, Ather has introduced a new high-performance mode, ‘Warp’. The Ather 450X can go from 0 to 40kph in just 3.3 seconds in Warp mode, making it the quickest scooter in the 125cc category. The Ather 450X will also charge 50% faster than before at 1.5km per minute, making it the fastest charging rate in the electric two-wheeler category.

The electric scooter is available in three new colours: Grey, Green, and White along with the limited-edition Series 1.

Goa State government is working on a comprehensive policy to promote electric two-wheelers in Goa, will be introducing the clean mobility scheme. The clean mobility scheme will be applicable for the first 10,000 electric two-wheelers sold in the state, which will reduce 5,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions every year and remove ten per cent of polluting vehicles off Goa’s roads.

The Department of Heavy Industry Ministries recently issued a notification with partial amendments for the FAME 2 scheme. The revisions now introduce a demand incentive of ?15,000 per KWh for electric two-wheelers with a maximum cap at 40 per cent of the vehicles’ cost. This translates into a nearly double increase in the current subsidy.

Ather X is priced in 1.44 lakhs ex-showroom and final on-road price will depend on the incentives provided by the state government.
