Confirmed: Mercedes-Benz New M-Class launch in mid May

Mercedes-Benz has confirmed the launch of the New M-Class SUV by mid May. The new M-Class was unveiled at the 2012 Auto Expo and will be launched as a CBU initially followed by CKD assembly at the Chakan plant by October 2012.

The 3rd Gen M-Class sets new benchmarks in SUV design, technology and performance and will lead the field in terms of safety, comfort, quality feel. In terms of size the new M-Class is larger than the ongoing SUV but the new design does not make it look bulkier. The length has been increased and the height decrease makes the SUV look a bit smaller. The new engine hood design with Mercedes-Benz design language and LED lights have made the front of the car look sportier; while at the rear the new tail lights give the M-Class an elegant feel.

The M-Class is packed with technology like customized settings for engine performance, automatic transmission, anti-lock braking system (ABS), Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Electronic Traction System all at the touch of the off-button on the console.

The prices will be on the lower end compared to the Old Gen M-Class as the SUV will be made in the Indian market.
