Fiat will launch an all new Sports variant of the Punto hatchback on the 18th of May. The Sports trim concept was first shown by fiat at the 2010 Auto expo and ever since that Fiat enthusiasts always craved for the same to be launched in the Indian market.
The new Sports variant will be available in 3 shades-black, white and red only. The trim will get a chrome exhaust tip, body decals and chrome lining on dashboard. The Sports trim will be available on the 90 variants only.
We hope Fiat implants the true Italian design with some nice hot black alloy wheels, racing graphics and body skirts which will make the Punto look only hotter.
Fiat has been working on a new strategy for the Indian markets and will once again try and establish its brand with a set of new dealerships and Fiat caffes. The company was gone solo and will open 20 dealers by end of this year.
Fiat currently sells only two models in the Indian market Punto and Linea sedan. The Punto comes in 3 engine options: 1.2 and 1.4 litre petrol engines while the 1.3 diesel engine comes in 2 states of tune, 75hp and 90hp.
