Garmin Navigation Devices ties up with Maruti Genuine Accessories (MGA)

Garmin Corporation, a unit of Garmin Ltd., the global leader in satellite navigation, announced that its Personal Navigation Devices (PND) nüvi 40LM and nüvi 50LM would also be available as Maruti Genuine Accessories (MGA). Through this venture Garmin PNDs will be available in Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) dealership network.

With this arrangement Garmin has increased its footprints across India and would help MSIL to provide its customers a world class product and whole new experience of Navigation.

Garmin India launched nüvi 40LM and 50LM devices for the mass market, priced at Rs. 8450 and Rs. 9990 for nüvi 40LM and 50LM respectively. With the launch of nüvi 40LM and 50LM, Garmin is making sure that people with limited use of GPS features should also enjoy the advantages of technology.

The devices will come with free maps of Singapore and Malaysia, two of the most visited places by Indian vacationers. In India, NAVTEQ Maps power portable navigation devices (PNDs) by worldwide leading navigation brand, Garmin. These devices like other Garmin devices will have voice guidance in Hindi, Indian English, Punjabi, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Tami, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali and Oriya.

With 4214 cites Map coverage at street level, 7.3 million Points of interest, 4.3 inch wide screen for 40LM and 5.0 inch wide screen for 50LM. Text-to-speech speaks street names in Indian accent, Voice guidance supports 10 languages, House Search, Lane Info, High-Sensitivity Receiver, Highway Mode, Free Lifetime Map Support, Pre-loaded NavTeq India map, Malsing (Singapore/ Malaysia) maps, Enhanced Junction View.
