Hyundai new i10 caught testing again, launch in 2014

Hyundai new i10 code named BA has been caught testing on the Indian streets once again. In Augusts the i10 was caught testing in international markets and in Chennai close to the Hyundai plant.

The new i10 will largely be based on the current generation and will be larger in dimensions. The hatch will get the new fluidic design theme and will look more balanced when compared to the current generation i10. From the pics the profile seems to seems to be largely same while the interiors will also be based on the new Fludic design theme.

Most importantly is the car will get new engines which include a 1.1-litre diesel engine and 1-litre Kappa is being developed specifically for the Indian market at Korea. The 1.2 kappa petrol engine will also be available and we expect the engine to generate more power.

1-litre Kappa is being developed specifically for the Indian market at Korea and will be manufactured at Hyundai’s Sriperumbudur facility at Chennai where a new setup is being established for producing them. The carmaker will also produce the 1.1-litre diesel engine at the facility starting September next year.

The diesel engine will certainly help the car maker to regain its position in the sales top ten chart. When launched the i10 will be the only car to be offered in four fuel options, if Hyundai does continue to offer it with a CNG and LPG kit.
