Hyundai’s small car to be called Eon?

Hyundai’s all-new small car known codenamed HA will be called the Eon according to Autocar India. The small car will compete head-on with the Maruti Alto. Hyundai is going to with the “i” badge for the new small car, which is now being the new naming nomenclature for the Hyundai cars.

Eon, means an ‘indefinitely long period of time’. As of now it is not much clear whether Hyundai will discontinue the Santro which also speculated to discontinue after the launch of the i10.

Well we feel Hyundai may not discontinue the Santro soon after the launch if the Eon as the car is still doing good numbers.

This all-new car will be powered by a three-cylinder 800cc engine and will develop close to 50bh.
