Kawasaki will launch the all new Ninja 300 in the Indian market. The bike will most probably replace the Ninja 250 R and the launch seems to be around the corner.

The Ninja 250 R has been a successful model considering the price and the numbers sold. Now if some sources are to be believed both the Ninja 250 R and Ninja 300 will co-exist initially, and the 250 R will be discontinued in the future.

With the manufactures launching new models in the 250cc plus segment the Ninja 300 could be good contender instead of the 250cc as higher completion offered by lower price 200-250cc performance bikes available in the same segment.

The new Kawasaki Ninja 300 is powered by a 296cc, parallel twin, liquid cooled, fuel injected motor with dual throttle valves. The 300cc develops a max power figure of 39 PS@11000 RPM and has a peak torque output of 27 Nm @ 10,000 RPM. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

A few dealers have started accepting bookings unofficially and the bike will be assembled in India, at Bajaj’s Chakan plant. Internationally the bike is offered with a ABS option , which may also make it in the Indian market.

Bajaj will have three products to offer in the 300cc Plus segment, the much rumored Pulsar 375, KTM Duke 390 and the Kawasaki Ninja 300.
