Mahindra is gearing for its next big launch the XUV5000 in the International markets. Mahindra which currently sells the XUV500 in South Africa will also see its debut soon in Australia.
Mahindra is also planning to launch the XUV500 in US and Eastern Europe and is currently testing the SUV in the Left hand drive version. The company is also developing a new Petrol engine and Auto transmission for the same markets.

The XUV500 petrol variant may not find its place in the Indian market but the Automatic version could certainly see a launch if demand does exist.
Mahindra will be increasing the monthly production of its hot-selling sports utility vehicle XUV500 to 5,000 units by around September-October. The firm that had increased output of the model to 4,000 units a month in May is trying to meet the increased demand after it opened bookings of the vehicles across India this month.
From June 8th the company opened all India booking and will launch it in all cities in a phase manner.
