Goa will witness a grand moment on Saturday (23rd May) morning when the first Amphibian seaplane lands in the state River the Mandovi. The 9 seater Seaplane will be launched in Goa for joy rides in the coming tourism season. The Maiden test flight will take place from Goa airprt, Dabolim and land in the river Mandovi in Panjim.

Goa will be the second state to receive the Amphibian Seaplane after Maharashtra. After landing in the Mandovi the seaplane will take a short round around 10.30 AM to 11.00 AM to Miramar, Chapora River, Coco beach and fly back to the Goa Airport at Dabolim.

This is the third initiative from Goa government to help revive the dwindling tourism industry. Recently the Goa Tourism department introduced the Amphibian vehicle which is Made In GOA and also the Air balloon service.

To provide safer rides around Goa, especially for women, the Tourism department has also introduced women only cab services. (Read more about this service here – Goa gets its very own Women Taxi service)

More details about the Amphibian seaplane coming soon.
