Peugeot which has been eying the Indian car market once again is all set to enter with the flagship 508 sedan and small car 207 hatchback. Team-bhp and Indiancarsbikes.in have caught the cars testing in India.
Peugeot has been scouting forland in India and may either consider Gujarat or Tamil Nadu to set up a green facility.
The Peugeot 207 will enter in fierce competition with the existing brigade of the Swift, i20, Micra, Polo, Fabia, Etios and upcoming Brio.
While the 508 will give the Superb, Passat, Accord, Teana and Camry some headache which are already seeing sales down due to lack of a diesel engine.
The Peugeot diesel engines are refined and efficient which will surely be hit in the Indian market. The 508 will be launched in both petrol and diesel engine but we expect the latter to make more numbers.
Come 2012 Auto Expo and we can certainly see a line-up of Peugeot cars.
