The Mahindra Verito compact launch is expected in the next couple of months and the company has been testing the car quite vigorously. The Verito compact will be the sub four metre version of the Verito sedan and the company seems to target the hatch and the sedan buyers with one product.

The Verito compact seems more like a hatch and less like a sub four metre sedan and it’s more clear from the rendering images. The render is as close to what will look like the production car with the Mahindra badging, chrome elements and other details.

From the side the profile looks slightly awkward with the steep rear end design. To start with Mahindra will introduce the Verito Compact only in diesel engine option and we can expect either the K9K diesel engine sourced from Renault or the new Twin-Turbo strapped on the Quanto to make it.

The latter seems a bit difficult as the car will have to go under heavy engineering changes to accommodate the new engine. The car will also get a new identity like the Quanto,

Mahindra has already captured the third spot overtaking Tata and with new products in the pipeline, the company could close the gap Hyundai which sells about 35,000 units on an average.
