Tata Motors launched a new variant of the Vista with Quadrajet D90 diesel engine. Vista D90 is powered by Fiat’s 1.3 Multijet engine with Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) technology and produces 88bhp and also does duty on the Manza sedan. The engine develops 200NM Torque and returns a fuel economy of 21.12 KMPL.
The D90 engine is mated to a Euro-tech 2 gearbox, for smooth and comfortable gearshifts to ensure 0-100 KMPH in just 15.5 seconds and a top speed of 158 KMPH.
On the outside the hatch retains the Vista look with more chrome and new colour options. The biggest change in the D90 is on the inside, where the car gets the Manza dash.
The Vista D90 comes with many new features like: Touchscreen multimedia system, with in-built voice guided GPS navigation, Fully automatic climate control, Rear charging point and Advanced driver information system.
The Fully Automatic Climate Control provides 3 modes — Normal, Auto and Economy mode. The Normal mode ensures that AC temperature in the car is as per the temperature set. The Auto mode senses the outside temperature and with the help of its sensors, automatically conditions the car below the outside temperature. The Economy mode saves fuel and increases mileage, automatically changing the AC compressor cycle to run in economy mode. Another cutting-edge technology is the Advanced Driver Information System and Fuel Computer. A small digital screen provides an instant update on mileage, average fuel consumption, distance-to-empty, ambient temperature and a digital clock.
The Vista Quadrajet 90 is available in two trims, namely VX and ZX+. The VX comes equipped with features like power windows, central locking, ABS with EBD and trip computer. All Vista Quadarajet 90s will come with a black painted roof. The ZX variant comes with all the features of the VX and adds alloy wheels and dual airbags.
