Jaguar has announced the launch of its new 2.0 petrol engine for the XF series. no the big cat is not on a diet its just got a bit more friendlier towards the environment. The XF 2.0 petrol will be also assembled locally at the Chikali plant near Pune and hence it will take the CKD route to India.

The 1999 cc , 4 cylinder engine very easily produces 240.72 bhp at 5500 rpm and a respectable torque of 340 nm at 1750 rpm which propels the car to 100 kmph in 7.9 secs. The Eight-speed automatic transmission with Jaguar Sequential Shift™ and Jaguar Drive Selector too plays a very important role in the racy character of this car
