Yamaha sales up in the first six months

Yamaha India Motors has posted positive sales registering a growth of 9.6% in its half yearly sales from January to June, 2012 with a total sale of 228,378 bikes as against 208,288 bikes during January to June, 2011. The company has refreshed the FZ range and have organised various events like Yamaha Safe Riding Science, Yamaha Riding Clinic, R15 One Make Race Championships and the Sales & Service camps.

In the domestic market, the company recorded a sale of 160,718 units from Jan – June 2012 vs. 152,177 units from Jan – June 2011, registering a growth of 5.6%.  The export figures stood at 67,660 units in the first half of 2012 while 56,111 motorcycles were exported in the first half of 2011 thereby registering a 20.6% growth.

Yamaha continues to reinforce its relationship with the customers and has launched the ‘YES!YAMAHA’ campaign that endeavours to provide the Best 3S Experience so that the customer always appreciates Yamaha and accepts the brand like the word “YES”.

The company is making steadfast efforts in offering new excitement to customers and with its plans to launch scooters in the second half of this year, the company will strive to strengthen its position in the scooter market as well.

Yamaha plans to enter the scooter segment and will launch its first product Ray by Diwali.
