With the Pajero being phased form the 13 cities due to BSIV emission norms Mitsubishi Motors is planning to launch Pajero Sport in India by mid-September to fight the SUV market in India.

The Pajero Sport uses an All Wheel Control Super Select 4WD driveline which feeds maximum drive torque to the wheels with better grip. The Pajero Sport will come as a 7 seater with 3 rows of seats and the front seatbacks can recline completely to provide a flat surface together with the rear seats.
