Mr. Prashant Joshi has been elected Chairman of the Goa chapter of the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) for a two-year term spanning 2026 to 2028.
A veteran in the regional automotive landscape, Mr. Prashant Joshi is the Managing Director of Goa Motors Pvt. Ltd. (Goa Hyundai). Hailing from the well-established Joshi Group—one of the earliest business families in the state’s automobile retail trade, he has spearheaded major dealership operations in Goa since the late 1990s and played a key role in developing automotive retail infrastructure across hubs like Verna.
His appointment comes as the automobile dealership sector in Goa continues to navigate changes in consumer demand, technology and the evolving automotive market.
During his tenure at the helm of Goa FADA, Joshi will lead efforts to address critical dealer-principal dynamics, streamline local vehicle registration frameworks, advocate for supportive state EV policies, and champion dealership sustainability across the state.
Goa leads the nation with 45.2% of households owning a car, driven by strong state affordability and a high standard of living.
The total registered vehicle population reached 14.5 lakh vehicles, nearly equating to a 1:1 ratio with the state’s total human population of 15.8 lakh. This translates to roughly 91 vehicles for every 100 residents. Goa remains one of the fastest-emerging luxury car territories. Brand expansions like the new luxury facilities from Jaguar Land Rover and Mercedes-Benz indicate a strong consumer demand for premium vehicles.
