Fiat India is planning to launch the all new Uno in India. Currently Fiat still a small player is looking for a larger pie of the Indian auto industry.
The new Uno, will use renewable materials to reduce emissions and enhance fuel efficiency and to be powered by a one-litre engine, could help complete Fiat’s turnaround.

“That car is slated for India beginning 2012 and the specifications of the car are not yet known,” he said. Fiat also makes the Linea, Punto and Palio models in Ranjangaon a Fiat India spokesman said.
Fiat had huge expectations when entered India in collaboration with PAL but due to poor service Fiat did not get very popular even after having thousands of booking for their Uno.
Fiat recently unveiled the new Uno in Brazil. India will only get the new Uno by 2012. It will get a new 1 litre engine and possibly a smaller diesel engine.
Fiat’s alliance with Tata will help Fiat in sales and service.
