Goodyear has recently launched several innovative global products in India like Duraplus and Assurance Fuel Max, the latter already recognized with the 2012 Product of the Year Award in the Tires Innovation Category in India. These products boast of leading market-back innovation, engineered to address the top needs of compact and mid-sized passenger car owners like long mileage, wet grip and fuel efficiency.
The launch of the stylish and performance-packed Eagle F1 series in India will certainly enhance Goodyear’s leading passenger tyre portfolio by targeting young and sporty consumers who are passionate about road performance and style and who want more performance from factory stock for their aftermarket-tuned sports cars and performance sedans.
Leading the Eagle F1 launch line up and launched this month is the stylish Eagle F1 GSD-3 – a multiple award winning tyre in many parts of the world since its global inception in 1993. Originally designed in Europe and now made in India, this stylish radial comes with its iconic tread pattern and V-TREDTM Technology that enables exceptional traction and handling in both wet and dry road surface conditions.
The technology behind Eagle F1 GSD3:
- OneTread Design stabilizes the tread for less squirm and precise wet and dry handling.
- Extreme V-Tred Technology – sheds channel water out from the tyre surface and allows superb handling and control on wet roads. It further excels in wet conditions by delivering class leading hydroplaning resistance and traction.
- AquaSilTM Technology – innovative tread compound for enhanced grip, traction and braking in wet and dry road conditions.

Goodyear India plans to launch Eagle F1 GSD3’s successor, the Eagle F1 Directional 5, later this year.
