Honda targets to sell 30,000 units of the CBR250

Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcyle and Scooters said they are targeting to sell 30,000 units of its latest 250cc global sports bike CBR-250R in India in the first year.

The company launched the 250cc bike with very aggressive pricing and is a tad cheaper to its nearest competitor.

The motorcycle was exclusively manufactured in India and Thailand and is claimed to be the first bike in 250cc category to have a combine Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS). Well the Indian Manufacturer TVS can claim the same in the 180cc category.

The target set by Honda is quite optimistic and we feel the company will able to achieve as the market seen a good demand for high capacity bikes. But the rising fuel prices could be a concern and may make people to re-think before they buy their dream machines.
