Tata Nano will be available off the shelf by August-September and no need for one to wait or book it in advance. With the Sanand plant on stream which has an capacity of 250,000 cars per year will help not only supply the Nano to the 1.5 lakh customers but also will allow Tata to accept fresh bookings.
“From this August or September, customers will be able to walk into our showroom and drive out in a Nano,” Manoj Arora, Senior Manager, Tata Motors, told reporters. Arora said that setting up a manufacturing facility at Sanand (Gujarat) will help the company deliver cars faster.
Tata could also offer the Nano for test drives so that one can get fully convinced before buying the Nano.
