New 2013 Hyundai i10 caught testing in India

Hyundai is not sitting quite and being content with the recent success the company has achieved in the Indian market. The South Korean car maker launched two new products in 2012 both in the luxury segment.  But that does not mean the company is ignoring its bread and butter models. Hyundai has already begun the testing of the new 2013 i10 in international markets and now it has also begun its testing in the Indian market. Thanks to our friends at Autocar India who have managed to snap the first pics of the car being tested on the home soil.

Code named BA the new i10 will based on the current generation i10 but will be wider and longer which translates to bigger dimensions and more space. The hatch will be bear the fluidic design theme with scooped headlamps and a hexagonal grille.

Most importantly is the car will get new engines which include a 1.1-litre diesel engine and 1-litre Kappa is being developed specifically for the Indian market at Korea. The diesel engine will certainly help the car maker to regain its position in the sales top ten chart. When launched the i10 will be the only car to be offered in four fuel options, if Hyundai does continue to offer it with a CNG and LPG kit.

Expect higher level of equipment from the current generations with reverse parking’s,, heated and electrically folded ORVM’s, alloy wheels, sun roof etc as standard on higher models. Pricing could see a upward trend but the company will not increase the price enormously considering the competition pressure.

So do you think the new 2013 i10 will be simply irresistible?
