Rolls Royce plans to launch car customized to Indian tastes. The luxury marquee is looking at bigger numbers and wants a tap the growing millionaire club base in the Indian market. The company is planning to launch customized editions of the Phantom & Ghost for the Indian buyers and the official launch will happen in the next two months.

The Rolls Royce brand has been a favorite amongst the Indian Royal class from the early days and always been the preferred choice.

 The company is evaluating different insignia characteristic of India such as the peacock, the lotus, the Ashoka Chakra, landmarks such as the Gateway of India in Mumbai, India Gate in New Delhi or the Charminar in Hyderabad, to embellish the body of the car. The design will be chosen in the next two months before the production of special edition commences.

The numbers will be limited and only a few buyers will get a chance to own the limited edition cars.

Rolls Royce has been selling country specific luxury cars in the Middle East & China. The company also has a separate be-spoke program where the customer can customize the car according to his specific needs right from the colour, upholstery including the stitch.

China, Japan, India, Hong Kong and Singapore are the biggest markets in Asia for the British super premium brand owned by car maker Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (BMW). Since entering the Indian market in 2005, Rolls Royce has sold more than 250 cars.
