Toyota May sales up by 54%


Toyota India sales have shown a positive trend in spite of the recalls taking place all over the world. That shows how much confidence the people have in Toyota in India. Toyota Motor India has sold a total of 6,050 vehicles in May 2010 as against 3,924 vehicles during the same period last year, recording an increase of 54%.

Cumulative sales for the period January to May 2010 stands at 30,946 units, recording an increase of more than 86% over the same period last year.

Commenting on the latest sales figures, Mr. Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director (Marketing), TKM said: “We are happy with the consistent growth in sales that we have been registering, especially as the Innova, Corolla and Fortuner maintain market leadership in their respective segments.”

Toyota is all gearing up to launch its most awaited Etios concept by end of 2010.
