WAVES ANNUAL CULTURAL FESTIVAL kicks off tomorrow

WAVES, the annual cultural festival of BITS Pilani KK Birla Goa Campus, kicks off on the 3rd of November, 2011 – a three day extravaganza themed ‘Fusion – Pure Milawat’.

Events from various genres- music, art, dance, drama and literature are spread throughout the day and special nites culminate each day in style.

The Special Nites will be featuring KailashKher’s Kailasa;  AGAM, a contemporary Carnatic rock art band; Something Relevant, with their jazz influenced music; and DJ Siddharth.

This year, the special events include Bazinga: the paintball tournament, Nirvana : the tranquil lounge, Slip Soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, Poke the Jack, the Waves Ball, exhibitions on digital art, bikes, environment, photography, bulb art and much more more.

The well known dance academy RADA, along with many other veterans of their respective fields will help the students hone their skills through workshops on salsa, street jazz, hip hop, fashion photography, mocktail making, cookery, canvas shoe and light painting, calligraphy and drama.

For the intellectuals, we have events like the Waves Debate, Press Corps and quizzes to name a few.

The Big Four events: Mr and Ms Waves, Fashion Parade, Sea Rock and Natyanjali will witness keen participation from colleges all over India.

Bike exhibition

The roars of choppers, super bikes, classics and custom bikes are sure to send hearts racing this Waves. With different bikes on display every day, any gearhead would acquiesce, Waves is the place to be.

The Bike exhibition will be organized by Waves in association with Goa On Wheels, Goa’s first car and bike website.
