All new SX4 Spied

If you are asked which is the most neglected car from Maruti in India then your answer definitely will be SX4. SX4 was once giving the segment leader, Honda City run for its money but unfortunately the sales of the SX4 have fallen drastically and the car is struggling against the likes of new cars like the Verna, Vento and the Rapid. lack of facelift or feature upgrade has hurt the SX4 badly.

Things are looking really bad for SX4 and it is in dire need of a facelift but Maruti seems to have other plans. Instead of a giving the car a facelift, Maruti is planning on an all new SX4. Pictures of all new car have surfaced on the web. SX4 is available in the international market in the hatchback form unlike the sedan in India. The pictures of the hatchback version of SX4 reveal a completely new design with new front facia and side profile. The car is heavily camouflaged hence the exact details are not know. The visible changes are the all new design for the alloy wheels and the outer rear view mirror (ORVM) which look similar to the new Swift.

The interior too are all new. The steering wheel is similar to the one on the Swift and we expect the SX4 to share quite a few parts with the Swift. The central console is restyled and looks upmarket. The interior of the car are in black but the Indian version will get beige color interiors when the car arrives in India. The Indian version will be a sedan and the hatchback version is unlikely to make it to India. The car will be powered by a more powerful petrol engine generating 110 bhp in addition to the diesel and a CVT variant could also be on cards. The car will be launched next year in the international market and the India launch could happen soon after it that is in late 2013.
