Ford EcoSport caught testing in India

Just a day before we (the whole of the auto blogsphere to be precise), posted about the ford EcoSport being tested in India. Seems like India felt a bit inferior about that and soon the fans were ready with the spy pics in India. It does justify, after all the EcoSport was unveiled in India first.

Well Ford has used a heavy camoflague so as o make one really think hard to spot the Ecosport, but why? The whole of the world knows how the EcoSport is going to look like. The new SUV will be based on the compact car platform (B2E) developed with Mazda which scores on low weight yet has a good torsional rigidity.

The EcoSport will sport the new Ford design language which is already found in the new Modeo and Focus. What is missing are the Led headlamps which were found on the concept model. Overall the look remains pretty same. Interiors will also be very similar to the new Fiesta.

Seems like EcoSport is getting ready to battle the Duster which will blow the Dust in June when it lands officially. Things will only heat up once India’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki’s XA Alpa concept goes into production.
