After the Impulse the next big launch under the new Hero Identity is the Maestro Scooter. Hero MotoCorp had unveiled two new products at the time when the new Brand identity was showcased to the entire world.
Hero which divorced from 26 year old relation with the Japanese two-wheeler Honda launched the Impulse on-off road bike which is India’s first four stroke Dual sports motorcycle.
Hero is also betting on the growing scooter segment and with the launch of the new Maestro scooter plans a larger share of the Scooter market. Currently Honda is the largest player in the Scooter segment followed by TVS and Suzuki.
Yamaha is also planning to launch scooters in India in 2012. Piaggio too has announced its entry in India and will make an official debut at the 2012 Auto Expo. However India’s second largest player Bajaj has completely exited from this segment.
