Hyundai to launch the CRDi diesel version of the hot selling i20 hatchback in India very soon. While the market was already abuzz with runours of a July first week launch.
The i20 CRDi will come with a 1.4 Litre CRDi engine which comes in two states of tune 75 bhp @ 4000 rpm and 90 bhp@ 4000 rpm. Its still unclear which version will Hyundai launch in India but the rumours say its the more powerful 90 bhp unit which can only be a good news for the prospective buyers or use 75 bhp tune for more fuel efficiency.
Hyundai i20 with 75 bhp tune has a top speed of 160 kmph and the 90 bhp tune has a top speed of 170 kmph.
Hyundai i20 diesel would take on the diesel variants of Maruti Suzuki Ritz,Skoda Fabia and Fiat Grande Punto.
