Mahindra 2 Wheelers achieves 18% growth

Mahindra 2 Wheelers is slowly moving up the ladder posting higher sales month on month. Sales for the month of June 2011 stood at 11,748 units, an increase of 16% over the same period last year. Brands like Rodeo and Duro have helped Mahindra sales move up the ladder.

Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd (MTWL), a part of the US $ 12.5 billion Mahindra Group, further consolidated its presence in the two wheeler segment in June 2011.

The company’s sales for the month of June 2011 stood at 11,748 units, an increase of 16% over the same period last year.

Total cumulative sales for the first quarter of F12 stood at 32,276 units, a growth of 18% over the same period last year when the numbers stood at 27,258.

Both the key PowerScooter brands, Rodeo and Duro, now have consumer franchises of over 1,00,000 each.

Mahindra 2 Wheelers’ PowerScooters cater to a range of consumer segments. The Mahindra Rodeo with its very innovative, contemporary features is popular amongst the Indian youth, while the Mahindra Duro is positioned as a family scooter. The Flyte is the Indian woman’s two-wheeler of choice. The stylish Stallio creates a niche for itself in the motorcycles category.
