Skoda has revealed official pics of the Superb facelift which will go on sale in the International market soon. The Superb gets updated on the inside and outside and unlike cosmetic changes found on Indian cars, the sedan does qualify for a proper facelift.

The Superb will feature the new Skoda design language with a new grille, logo, redesigned smoked head lights, revised bumpers, front fenders and bonnet. The Superb will offer Bi-xenon head lamps with integrated LED daytime running lights at the front. The tail lamps are large wit LEDs and remind us of the Audi tails lamps. The overall profile remains the same.

On the interior the car receives modest changes which includea new four-spoke steering wheel, a new gear lever and beige interiors.

The facelifted Superb will continue to be offered with the same engine choices a 1.8-litre TSI petrol engine and a 2.0-litre TDI. The TSI motor comes with the option of a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DSG auto ‘box, while the 2-litre diesel is available with a six-speed DSG only.

The 3.6 V6 may not be on offer for the Indian market as there are very few takers. The 2014 Superb is expected to hit showrooms here by end-2013 or early 2014.
