BMW is all set to launch its all new 3 Series in Indian on the 27th of this month. The launch is just a few days away and we bring you all details along with the specifications of the new sedan
Code name F30 and in its The sixth generation all-new BMW 3 Series has loads of technology packed in. The 3 Series will be offered in Sport Line and Luxury Line variants. In total the car will be offered in 5 variants:
- 320d
- 320d Sportline
- 320d Luxury Line
- 320d Luxury Plus
- 328i Sportline
BMW is concentrating more on diesel models as compared to petrol which mainly form the bulk of sales. The new 3 Series boasts very good efficiency figures thanks to BMW Efficient Dynamics which packs in

Engine options include: 320d, 328i
The 320d now gets BMW Twinpower Turbo Technology which punches 135KW (164hp) of power and 380 nmof Torque. The full torque is available from 1750 rpm to 2750 rpm and accelerates 0-100 under just7.6 seconds with a top speed of 235 kmph. The car returns a healthy mileage of 18.88 kmpl. The diesel motor will have more takers but the petrol engine has also has some pretty impressive figures.
The 328i with Twinpower Turbo Technology produces180Kw (245hp) of power combining TwinScroll turbocharger with Valvetronic, Double-VANOS and high precision injection generates 350 Nm of torque. The petrol motor returns a mileage of 14.79 kmpl. The 328i does 0-100 in just 6.1 secs.
Both the engine options are mated to an 8 Speed Automatic Transmission. The 328i Sportline variant gets an 8 Speed Sport Automatic Transmission.
