Mahindra Genio double cab caught testing

Mahindra which launched the Genio pick up truck a few months earlier now also plans to launch a double cab version of the same. The Genio double cab version was caught testing in in Ooty Nitesh Jain.

The double cab version gets an added second row seat and rollover bars fitted at the back. The pick-up truck will be powered by the same 2.5-litre m2DI CRDe motor from the Genio single-cab, the Xylo D2and the recently launched Scorpio Ex.

Mahindra is also working on a CNG variant of the pickup which will be launched alongside the double-cab pickup. The Genio variants will compete with the Tata 207 Di (single and double-cab) variants.

Mahindra announced their financial results with a small increase in profits mainly due to the increasing raw materials prices. Mahindra has also announced the launch of 8 new models in this financial year.

The Genio variants will one of the 8 models the company plans to launch in India.
