Range Rover 3.0-Litre V6 Diesel

Land Rover has introduced a new, entry-level diesel variant of the Range Rover in India. The SUV is now available with a new 3.0 TDV6 diesel engine, in addition to the 5.0 litre petrol and 4.4 litre diesel variants.

Available in the Range Rover for the first time, the refined and ultra-efficient 258PS 3.0-litre TDV6 diesel, delivers effortless performance under all conditions. The engine is paired with the advanced electronically controlled ZF 8 speed automatic gearbox, which has been tuned by Range Rover engineers to combine silky-smooth shifting with exceptionally rapid response and outstanding fuel economy.

With a substantial torque figure of 600Nm, the 3.0-litre TDV6 is capable of sweeping from 0-100 kmph in 7.9 seconds. This new engine also gets the Stop/Start functionality from the bigger engines that automatically shuts off the engine at traffic halts in milliseconds.

The all-new Range Rover with a 3.0-litre TDV6 diesel engine is now available to order in two trim levels, HSE and Vogue. The ex-showroom price pre-Octroi for Mumbai is 1,44,91,993 rupees for the HSE and 1,64,77,651 rupees for Vogue.

The 2013 Range Rover was launched in India back in November last year with a pair of high displacement V8 engines – 5.0 litre Supecharged petrol and 4.4 litre diesel. The SUV has taken the industry benchmarks to a whole new level and has made the Range Rover brand more desirable by winning 10 Industry awards in 2012.

On the occasion, Rohit Suri, Vice President, Jaguar Land Rover India said: “The all-new Range Rover has been very well received in India and this new 3.0-litre TDV6 diesel engine will broaden its appeal even further. To deliver the model’s characteristic effortless performance,we are pleased to give customers the choice of three engines that combine swift and responsive execution.”
