Range Rover Evoque to hit Indian shores by 2012

The Tatas are all set to bring a smaller and a fuel efficient Land Rover – the Range Rover Evoque – to India by early next year, after its global debut in the middle of this year. The Evoque is the smallest, lightest and most fuel-efficient Range Rover ever.

Land Rover will manufacture the Evoque in India and will bring the 5 door version.  This will be the most fuel efficient Land Rover and will also have low emissions.  It will offered with a It’s the smallest, lightest and most fuel-efficient Range Rover ever.

There’s a choice of powerful, refined engines available. The state-of-the-art turbocharged 240PS 2.0-litre petrol Si4 4-cylinder or the 2.2-litre turbo diesel engines, including a 150PS TD4 and a 190PS SD4 which delivers a remarkably potent performance with impressive torque.

Currently Tata will start making the Freelander at the Chakan plant and will also start the assembly of the Evoque before the scheduled launch in India.
