It official, Force Motors will launch its second model under the Passenger division, the Gurkha SUV on the 15th of February at the International Bus & Utility Vehicle Show. We reported earlier the launch to happen on the 16th of February.
Force Motors will be participating the 2013 International Bus & Utility Vehicle Show which for the first time will be organised at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, UP.
Based on the rugged and reliable Trax platform, the Gurkha gets a number of upgrades over the previous gen Gurkha. The SUV will be powered by a TD 2650 F diesel engine which is BS3 complaint mated to a five speed gear box. Power is bumped from to 85Ps and will develop 200 Nm of Torque.
The Gurkha will get revised exteriors and upgraded interiors along with basic comfort features. The highlight will be the upgraded all-wheel drive system which a favourite by off roaders.
The SUV segment has shown the highest growth in 2012 and will continue its momentum as auto makers plan to launch more SUV’s across the price range starting from Rs. 5 lakhs to Rs. 2 crores.
